Seaside garden inspired by it’s local context looking over the Solway Firth. Split into three areas; dense herbaceous planting close to the house, a central area of lawn and natural planting style through shingles with a calming rock pool and seating area. The client wanted to retain the impressive views of Solway and by using an informal hedge of Pennisetum ‘Fairy Tails’ in an informal curved line the strong upright habit and mass of light pink/white flowers which fade to tan over a long season during summer.
