A live project in collaboration with the Canal and River Trust in Leeds to help integrate a community space called ‘Botany Bay’ by the canal-side in Armley, Leeds. The project focused on two aspects; The Botany Bay site and a routeways masterplan to connect local areas to the site.
Low Moor is a community owned pocket park located in Armley and is part of the green links initiative to improve green spaces on the route to Botany Bay. The sites topography had created flooding problems, the use of sustainable urban drainage in the form of swales and filters strips to aid water management. Productive fruit trees and green-roof bus stops will benefit the sites biodiversity and improve the aesthetic of the area.
